FexCo1-x alloy nanoparticles: Synthesis, structure, magnetic characterization and magnetorheological application

We present results concerning the synthesis of FexCo1-x (0 < x 1) alloy nanoparticles (NPs) with different compositions by chemical reduction technique and subsequent structural (XRD patterns), morphological (TEM images) magnetic (VSM magnetometry) characterization. have got excellent quality NPs in cubic bcc structure showing a room temperature magnetization as high 235 emu/g for Fe66Co34 composition alloy. Powder Fe47Co53 was used to fabricate magnetorheological fluid (MRF) using mineral oil carrier liquid Aerosil 300 additive control viscosity fluid. This MRF showed strong response superior performance under applied field up 616.7 kA/m good reversibility after demagnetization process. At that highest field, we determined yield stress value 2729 Pa, competes well best ones reported most recent literature.
